PM KISAN Scheme was launched in February 2019. Although it was implemented from December 2018. Under the scheme, eligible farmers are provided a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. This amount is directly transferred to the account of the beneficiary farmers.

However, now there are discussions that the money received under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi may increase.

Explain that PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme with 100 percent funding from the central government. The State Government and Union Territory Administration identifies the farmer families who are eligible for assistance as per the guidelines of the scheme.
